The Morton Family

Dean and Lisa Morton live in McKinney with their daughter Delaney, and their lab, Casey.  The Morton’s have been in North Texas for 10 years, moving here from the Houston area.  They are thrilled to be in North Texas, not missing the humidity of Houston one bit, and enjoying real seasons.

Dean is a Vice President with Bank of America, working with telecommunication providers throughout the world, keeping the Bank’s worldwide telephone network up and running.  In his spare time Dean is a full on outdoorsman, enjoying competitive shooting, saltwater fishing & fly fishing, camping, hiking, and skiing.

Lisa is a graduate of the University of Houston with a degree in Business. She worked for 11 years with Houston Ballet, administering their professional dancer development academy.  After meeting and marrying Dean, she spent the next 14 years as a dedicated Mommy.  Today Lisa has reentered the world of education, this time as a member of the ESL team within Frisco ISD.  She is supporting and guiding non-English speaking middle school students in their adjustment to Texas schools. Lisa has been a Girl Scout Troop Leader and run a mother-daughter book club.  And as an animal lover, Lisa also volunteers at the McKinney SPCA.

Delaney is in her Junior year at Heritage High School in Frisco ISD and a student in FISD’s Independent Study and Mentorship Program (ISM), studying Library Science.  She is looking forward to graduation in 2017, and beginning her college education.

Casey is a loyal lab, spending his days sitting under Dean’s desk, offering his “Man’s Best Friend” support whenever required.

The Niederer Family

Phil and Lisa met and are glad to be Red Raiders but glad to now live in the Metroplex.  We have lived in Plano since the mid 90’s and both our son and daughter graduated from Plano Sr. High.  While Zach followed our lead and graduated from Texas Tech, our daughter Jordan ‘defected’ to the other side of the Red River and was a cheerleader for OU.

Zach has subsequently graduated from Temple Med in Philly and is a second year surgical resident in Louisville, KY.  Jordan came back to Texas and has since graduated from SMU. The two of them have made both their parents look good and get more credit than deserved as they both have become such honorable adults and frankly better in every way than their parents.

Over the last few decades after leaving the family business in Lubbock, we have worked with EDS, took a company public in 1999 and started several other businesses.  Currently, we are in the oil and gas business and have interest in Colorado and the Permian basin as well as producing assets in both East and West Texas.  Although the market price of energy is modest now, we are seeing greater profitability now with the application of some unique and innovation completion processes that are yielding 10 to 20 times the production normally expected.

Helping ourselves and our investing partners build meaningful wealth, reducing tax consequences and driving American to energy independence is why we’re here.

Women have been included since 1988, speakers nor their expenses are paid and include a who’s who of business leaders, model is “pay it forward” including mentoring students, “business cards not necessary,” relationships are key and magic happens!

The Mauldin Family

When the Mauldin family sits down to dinner at a restaurant, with the now associated spouses, significant others and five grandchildren, it does not look like a typical family. And when everyone starts to call the gentleman at the end of the table "Dad" it raises a few questioning eyebrows around the room. John Mauldin has seven children five of whom are adopted, and as he told me, "I have two Asians, two blacks, a blond, brunette and a redhead." Pictured above is just the seven siblings and Dad: (insert names in order). John is a financial writer with five best-selling books and an online letter with close to a million readers (you can Google John Mauldin). All but one of the kids live in the Dallas area and all get together often.
