Botts Family


Featured here is Robert (Bob) and Jo Ann Botts. Bob and Jo Ann have made their home in Plano for many years. Bob is a trusts and estates attorney with Carrington Coleman in Dallas. Jo Ann is a retired Principal/Administrator from Plano Independent School District. Bob and Jo Ann are members of Plano First Baptist Church where Bob has served as a deacon. Bob has served on the Advisory Board of Plano Presbyterian Hospital, the Educational Foundation Board of Plano Independent School District, and is a member of the Plano Rotary Club. Jo Ann has served on numerous organization boards in Collin County including the Assistance Center, the Volunteer Center of Collin County, and the Plano Symphony. Presently, Jo Ann serves on the Hendrick Foundation Board and the Advisory Board of ACT-Houston at Dallas. Bob and Jo Ann brag about their three children, Brett Botts 20, Brandon Botts 28, and Carnie Carpenter who is married to Scott Carpenter. Scott and Carnie have two children, Caroline 13 and Colby 15. Brett is a graduate of Plano Senior High School and now in his third year at Texas Tech University. He is a Sociology major and plans a career in Law Enforcement. Brandon graduated from Plano Senior High and attended Baylor University. Brandon makes his home in McKinney. Carnie also graduated from Plano Senior High School. Scott and Carnie Carpenter have been active members in the Plano/Collin County community for many years, and moved from Plano to University Park last year. Scott, Carnie, Colby and Caroline are members of Prestonwood Church. Scott owns his own law practice, Carpenter Law Firm, in Plano, was a member of Leadership Plano and served on the PISD School Board for two terms. Scott and Carnie served on the Plano Symphony Board for several years and recently made a substantial gift to the Collin County Arts Hall. Carnie was a member of the Plano Junior League. Colby is a Quarterback at Highland Park High School and plans a career in the NFL. Caroline attends HP Middle School, plays volleyball and plans a career in Criminal Justice. She wants to be a Judge.
